It has been impossible, so far, to produce finely tailored sequence-defined polymers (SDP) by chemical methods. Our approach harnesses the biological systems in search of new classes of materials such as natural products, therapeutics, and precision polymers. Our research is tackled by interdisciplinary approaches that include chemistry, synthetic biology, and computational biology.
